After-School Japanese classes at Monticello Academy

LMLC has been a proud partner of Monticello Academy since 2017. Our Russian and Math and Logic classes have proved to be quite popular with the students, and this year, we are happy to bring Japanese classes to the Monticello campus. Our Japanese classes are conducted by a native speaker having in-depth knowledge of the language as well as of Japanese culture and philosophy. Her working experience comprises teaching Japanese to students of various ages and levels and is backed up by a Bachelor’s degree in education.

Our classes are conducted in small groups and are always adjusted to the students’ language level and needs. Japanese classes at Monticello are aimed at the beginner level students learning Japanese as a foreign language. ^*

The goal of this course is to teach students basic Japanese vocabulary and grammar used in the everyday life, introduce them to hiragana, katakana, 20 kanji and give them the basic knowledge of the Japanese culture, history and geography. At the lessons we read and discuss books and magazines, do grammar exercises, watch and discuss animated cartoons and movies, recite poems and play role games. Educational materials and activities vary depending on the students’ age.
